Guilin Liangjiang international airport is 28 kilometers away from Guilin downtown area, and has opened more than 60 domestic and international routes. It has access to more than 30 large and medium-sized cities in China and the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions. Foreign countries can reach Fukuoka, Japan, Jeju, South Korea, Thailand Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and other places. There is a bus from the city to the airport every 30 minutes in the civil aviation building. Passengers can also take a taxi to the airport in the civil aviation building.
The main railway that passes through Guilin is Xiang-Gui railway (enlarge capacity now). Xiang-Gui railway runs through Guilin from northeast to southwest, passing through Quanzhou, Xingan, Lingchuan, Guilin urban area, Yongfu and other places. It is the main artery of Guilin traffic. The Guizhou-Guangzhou high-speed railway, now completed, connects Guilin with the Pearl River Delta and greatly promotes Guilin's economic development. A number of railways are being planned and Guilin will become a comprehensive transportation hub.
Guilin's main expressways are Guiliu expressways (Guilin - Liuzhou) and airport expressways (Guilin city - Liangjiang international airport). Other highways under construction include Gui-Huang expressway (Guilin-Huangsha River) and Guiwu expressway (Guilin-Wuzhou). Guilin city main highway still has Xingan - Guanyang, Guanyang - Gongcheng, Lingchuan – Gongping highway to wait.
Guilin's water transport is mainly through the Xiangjiang River and the Lijiang River, along the Lijiang River through Wuzhou to the Pearl River, but also directly to the coastal ports, such as Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macao and so on.
Guilin rail transit is an urban rail transit system serving Guilin city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the third city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to build urban rail transit. Guilin rail transit line 1, its first line, is the first straddling monorail line in Guangxi.
